  • Water sprinkler
An automatic water sprinkler system is an important system that detects and blank the nascent fires or keep them under control so that action can be taken off or so that a safe evacuation can take place. A properly carried out the water sprinkler system helps to save lives as well as to reduce firedamagecosts.
Regulatory framework for water sprinkler systems are paid by the insurance industry in Sweden since the 1920s and since 2001, these have been released by the Swedish Fire Protection Association (SBF). In 2003, published CEN a European standard for water sprinkler system that largely had the same extent as the Swedish regulatory framework. SBF has as a result of this has produced a new edition of its regulatory SBF 120, which is adapted to the standard SS-EN 12845 and refers basically to the standard should be followed.

Through an agreement between the Swedish Fire Protection Association and the Swedish Insurance has ownership of these regulations fr.om 2001-01-01 changed to the Swedish Fire Protection Association. This has not meant any change to the technical requirements.

Gas fire-fighting equipment put out the fire by reducing the oxygen content below the level necessary to maintain combustion. After extinguish it may be necessary to maintain a extinguish concentration to prevent re-ignition.

Gas extinguishing agents can be used to extinguish the many topics that can not be extinguished with water. Gas extinguishing systems can therefore complement a water sprinkler system to achieve a total protection.
